Advice Before Colour Services
Before Booking in your lightening appointment, here are a few thing to consider to make sure your hair is in the best condition and you get the results your dreaming of.
-
Hair Health Matters: Lightening works best on healthy, strong hair. If your hair is dry, damaged or has build up of previous colours, we may need a few treatments or a slower staged approach to protect your hair.
-
Be Realistic About the journey: Depending on your starting colour, desired result and hair history, achieving your goal may take more than one session. I'll always be honest about what is achievable and will create a bespoke plan for you.
-
Patch Test Required: For your safety all colour services require a patch test 48 hours prior to your appointment.
-
Avoid Home Colour Kits: Box dyes, Henna or metallic salts can affect how lightener reacts to your hair. We will have a full conversation on hair history.
-
Pre Appointment Prep: It's best not to wash your hair on the day of your appointment. A little natural oil helps protect your scalp during lightening. You can also wash your hair with shampoos free of parabens and sulphates this will help to give a higher cleaner lift.
